We have a long weekend ahead and I don't want you to forget to study the vocabulary of natural disasters. When the Levee Breaks is a song by Kansas Joe McCoy and Memphis Minnie. It is about the Great Mississippi Flood of 1927. Levee means "dique". After extremely heavy rains the levee system of the Mississippi river broke down causing some of the most destructive floods in the history of the United States.
